Good Times with Old Friends

Until August of this year I had been working part time at my LSS. My "real" job had become too demanding and thus resulted in giving up my part time employment at the LSS. This past weekend the Midwest Scrapbooking Convention came to our area and the owners invited me back to help out at the store over the weekend. Oh, it was sooo much fun! I love all the ladies at the store and many of the customers have become friends though classes and crops. It was great to be back in that gear again. I didn't realize that I missed it quite so much until this past weekend.

So here's a tribute to great independent scrapbook stores, co-workers who are like family, customers who are like friends, and the bond that brings us together -scrapbooking!

p.s. If you attended the convention in Des Moines, Oct.13-14 post a comment and let me know what you thought.

Everybody's Doin' It!

So I'm not sure about this whole blogging phenomenon, but since everyone's doing it I thought I would try it too. I'm not sure how successful this will be given that I lead what I consider to be a rather mundane life, but hey...you never know until you try right?

I'm dedicating this blog to random musings -mostly about scrapbooking and all things papercrafting- because well, at the end of day...I just want to play with glue! Oh, and given that I'm a bit of a technology junkie you'll probably find some hybrid digital scrapbooking things creep in here once in awhile too :)

So here's to an inaugural post...yippee!
